"In supporting an open, transparent, and proactive relationship with all Regulators, The Regulatory Relationship Manager will annually, and proactively throughout the year, maintain the Government and Regulatory Relationship Plan for the Americas working in close coordination with Head of Public Affairs for the Americas. Within this role the ideal candidate will work closely with senior management and others to engage with the identified key regulatory contacts on various subjects of interest and to foster a deeper productive relationship with our various regulators. The Regulatory Affairs Manager will also be responsible for the management of all examinations of branches in the Americas. Additionally, will be the responsible the compliance contact for the Regulatory Reporting Risk Policy and related procedures. Regulatory Relationship Management: * Manages and develops the relationships with the various regulators with a focus on the United States. * Maintain the Government and Regulatory Relationship Plan in coordination with Americas Public Affairs. * Builds trust with the regulators through meeting the regulatory commitments and through regular briefings with the regulators. Examination Relationship Management: * Responsible for all aspects of the examination process from pre-examination data collection and vetting through the onsite examination process and post examination follow through. * Drives the process through the application of the Regulatory Examination Relationship Procedure. * Monitors examination trends in the industry and works with the business to ensure they are aware of and prepared for current examination focus. * Ensures all inspection findings and issues are appropriately responded to and any remedial action completed. Regulatory Reporting Management: * Responsible for oversight of the Regulatory Reporting Risk Policy within the Americas. * Maintain the Regulatory Reporting Register ensuring it is accurate and up to date working with the report and data owners. * Key member of the Americas Data Management Committee. Qualifications: * The ability to manage the relationship with relevant government and regulatory stakeholders, to understand their concerns and influence them to effectively manage our external operating environment. * Knowledge of the system of internal controls that enables effective management of the affairs of the Group within the Americas. Detailed knowledge of local risk reporting and governance/management structures, and the regulatory and legal obligations of country management. * Knowledge of business areas and their products and the relevant regulatory and legal requirements that apply.
