Pet adoptions free this Sunday in football-themed promotion

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) ? Attention football fans: Adopt a furry friend this weekend for free.

The Kern County Animal Shelter, 201 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., will waive adoption fees 2-7 p.m. Sunday for people wearing their favorite team's jersey. Adopted dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
