The Fourth of July parade in Annapolis was marred by tragedy last night when a 7 year old boy was killed.
The boy died after he was run over by a single-axle trailer being pulled by a truck.?
The victim was stepping?off the trailer when for some reason he fell and?he went under?a wheel.
Cpl. Amy Miguez of the Annapolis Police Department told WBAL News the trailer was moving slowly but still failed to stop in time.? ?
Police said the accident happened last night around 7 on Amos Garrett Boulevard, where the line was forming to join up in the parade route.
The boy died at Anne Arundel Medical Center.?
The victim's name has not been released.?
